The organizer of Run For Orphans 2014 is committed to provide all participants with a safe, enjoying and rewarding experience, alongside accurate timing and checkpoints in our route with a precise race results. We are also committed to the highest standards of fair play amongst all participants and reserve the right to disqualify any participants who breach our rules and regulations.



Below are the Rules & Regulations regarding this Run For Orphans 2014 Charity Marathon :-


  • This event is opened to all Malaysian and Non-Malaysian runners
  • By signing up for and providing any information, participants agree with the rules and regulations of this Event
  • The Organizer reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these rules and regulations of this event from time to time as they deem fit. If there is ambiguity in any of the provisions, the Organizer shall be the authority to interpret and in doing so, the Organizer will take into account the interests of all the affected participants
  • Registration for the race is only confirmed upon payment made. Registration fee is non-refundable
  • The Organizer reserves the right to amend this Event race routes as they deem fit for the safety of the Participants and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of this Event, at any time without prior notice to the Participants.  In such cases, every effort will be made to inform the Participants prior to the date of this Event
  • Whilst every reasonable measure will be taken by the Organizer to ensure the safety of Participants, all Participants are running at their own risk. The Organizer will not be responsible or hold liable to any injury or death arising during the race. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination before entering the race
  • Cut-off time for this Event is 2 Hour
  • All Participants are required to provide correct personal particulars when signing up for the event
  • The  Organizer  will  not  entertain  nor  be  in  any  way  responsible  for  any  disputes  arising  from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form
  • All participants must wear their respective bibs in front of their vest throughout the event. The Organizer reserves the right to terminate any runner without a bib from continuing the event
  • Bibs are strictly non-transferable, else considered disqualified and the Organizer will not hold liable on any accident or injury
  • The Organizer reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of this Event, for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising and distribution to sponsors anywhere in the world
  • Participants who do not start within 20 minutes of respective flag off, for safety reasons may not be allowed to start and will be immediately disqualified
  • The Organizer will not be responsible for any loss and/or damage, personal or otherwise, to the belongings  and  items  deposited  at  the  event  baggage  storage  provided  for  the  runners.  The Organizer also reserves the right to check any item or baggage deposited
  • Any unclaimed baggage 4 hours after flag-off of event will be deemed unwanted. The organizer reserves the right to dispose or redistribute the items in any manner deemed appropriate
  • All the decisions of the Organizer in determining the winners for each category is final. Any queries made pertaining to the results of the race will not be entertained
  • All participants who successfully complete the event before cut-off time will be awarded a finisher’s medal upon presentation of their bib number to the respective officials

Winner Age Verification

The age of all prize winners (10KM) in each category will be verified. Please produce your identity card or other valid documents within 15 minutes of finishing your run at the Race Secretariat. Winners unable to provide documents required for verification will not be able to receive their prizes.
